Mission Statement:

The Women’s Ministry at meets the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of women all ages in the church and community. We also promote services to God by using our gifts for the benefits of others through spiritual diligence and community fellowship.

Purpose:

Provide significant ways for women to grow in Christ, share their love, share their gifts, share their ability to bless others, and to encourage one another. Most of all, pray that the women who are not in a ministry will be led by the spirit of God utilizing their God given talents and become involved.

Scripture: I Peter 4:10 NIV

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. “

Mission Statement:

It is the mission of the Sign Language Ministry to help the deaf and hard of hearing worship God through the use of sign language; to fellowship with our brothers and sisters and facilitate a saving relationship with God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Purpose:

It is our purpose to use sign language to minister to the deaf and hard of hearing through worship and fellowship in the community spreading God's word.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 9:22
"To the weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak; I am become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some."
New American Standard Version

About Us:

The Sign Language Ministry is a open to anyone that wants to learn to spread the gospel through the use of American Sign Language. Each member shares a passion for signing and love of God. The Ministry began about 10 years ago and has continued to grow each year. God has truly blessed this endeavor to expand our worship service to include the deaf and hard of hearing members of our community and beyond.

All members are requested to attend a beginners' American Sign Language class and continue to grow their proficiency in sign language. We hold regular meetings on the 3rd Saturday of the month. The location and time varies depending on the activity we have planned for the month.

We invite you to worship with us during the 8am Sunday service which is our designated sign service. Come learn what God has just for YOU and you may even learn a sign or two...

Music Ministry Mission Statement:

The Music Ministry's mission is to enrich the worship experience with praise and devotion in song. We are the ministry through which the soul and spirit sings to God the Father, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in devotion and praise with a song. We also assist the congregation in expressing our personal and communal love, adoration, faith, hope, fears, and emotions.

The music ministry helps to set and establish an atmosphere that is conducive to worship. Holy music brings the congregation into the presence of God so that each person can experience the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on a personal level.

The music ministry is an active, participatory, and integral part of the worship service. We are there to assist the worshipers in centering their thoughts upon God. For those who have not surrendered themselves wholeheartedly unto the Lord, it’s to prepare their hearts for the Holy Spirit through the Word of God to minister to them.

Purpose Statement:

The goal of the Women's Chorus is to allow the women of Saint Paul Baptist Church an opportunity to worship the Lord in song and praise.

Scripture: Psalms 149:1

"Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song and his praise in the congregation of saints."

Purpose Statement: To deepen married couples' relationship with Christ and each other by providing biblical principles and various learning tools, fostering fellowship with other Christian married couples, improving family relationships, and honoring Christ by being godly husbands and wives.

Scripture: Ephesians 5: 22-25 - Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

About Us

The SPBC Marriage Ministry welcomes married couples of all ages and years of marriage. We strive to meet the needs of every married couple; young and old, newly weds to those married 50 years or more. There is something for everyone!

This ministry uses the bible as its primary tool for teaching, uplifting and encouraging couples to have a healthy, prosperous and fulfilling Chrisitian relationship with their spouse. In addition, we utilize other books such as His Needs Her Needs, A Woman After God's Own Heart, and the 5 Love Languages, just to name a few.

Our current activities consist of an annual Valentine's dinner, "Dinner for Three, Me, My Spouse and Our Lord". During this romantic event couples come together to relax over a candle lit dinner, and receive a word of encouragement as they fellowship with other couples. We also serve couples by recognizing anniversary's each month.

In 2012 we look forward to offering the following:

Quarterly Couples Bible Classes
Annual Couples Dinner
Couples Outings (movies, couples cook-off, etc.)
Monthly Anniversary recognitions
Monthly Inspirational Thoughts for Married Couples

The Outreach Ministry’s mission is to minister to people by visiting the sick and convalescing members of our congregation.

Purpose Statement:

The Outreach Ministry’s purpose is to maintain a loving, caring physical presence to members who are unable to attend Sunday services, Wednesday Mid-Day and Night Bible Studies, and other church activities or functions.

Scripture: Matthew 25:36

“Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick and you visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.”

About Us:

Generally on most visits we go to the home, hospital, nursing home or the person’s current location. The visitation consists of brief greetings, a hymn, introducing Outreach members on hand, scripture reading, prayer and conversation. In addition, church bulletins and or programs are often provided. Our intent is to not only minister but to promote church fellowship with each person visited to let them know they are not forgotten and still part of the family of God.

Currently, Deacon Milton Flowers serves as contact person and liaison to the pastor. He works closely with Sis. Rosetta Jones who is instrumental in keeping Outreach members informed on planned visitations and meetings. Sister Jones also confirms visitations prior to the visit with the recipient or designated contact.

To schedule a visit please see Deacon Flowers or Sis Jones.
